We can also provide conversion of older Polycolds to higher efficiency units. Polycolds such as PFC 550ST, PFC 650ST, PFC 1100ST units can be converted to high capacity Polycolds. This process can be completed during the rebuilding process of an older unit to make the switch extremely cost effective. We can also convert single circuit units to dual circuit units. Polycold LT units can be modified to become HC units. Contact us for more details.

We have all factory trained Service Engineers for repair work. Service can be provided on an emergency basis to maximize uptime on you vacuum coating system, vacuum furnace or other vacuum system. A Service Engineer can respond within 24 hours. In addition, Schoonover can provide installation service for all Polycold models. POLYCOLD low temperature refrigeration systems allow you to increase productivity and product in your vacuum coating systems. To achieve high vacuum large amounts of water vapor must be pumped. Typical high vacuum pumps used in coating systems provide poor water vapor pumping. A "cool solution" is needed in the form of a water vapor cryopump such as a Polycold. Installation of a Polycold on a diffusion or turbo pumped vacuum system can reduce pumpdown by 50% or more. Polycolds are used in many types of vacuum coating processes such as vacuum metalizing, Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Vacuum Sputtering, E-Beam Evaporation, Vacuum Furnaces, and magnetron sputtering. |
